These Terms govern registration for and attendance at the Abia Global Diaspora Homecoming ("the Event") and use of this platform. By registering you accept them.

The Event is free

Attendance is free. No one acting for the Committee will ever ask you to pay for registration or a ticket. Report any payment request to the Media & Communications sub-committee immediately.

Eligibility

Registration is open to members of unions recognised by the Abia State Diaspora Commission. You must select your union when registering, and your membership will be verified before your registration is approved. Providing false membership information is grounds for rejection or revocation.

Registration and approval

Every registration is reviewed by the Organising Committee. Submitting a registration does not guarantee attendance: a ticket is issued only when your registration is approved. Decisions of the Committee, including rejections, are final.

Your ticket

Your ticket is personal and non-transferable. It is delivered as a private link. Keep that link confidential, because anyone who has it can display your entry QR code. The Committee may revoke a ticket where these Terms are breached, where information provided proves false, or where necessary for safety or capacity reasons. Each ticket admits one person once; re-entry is at venue discretion.

Invitation letters

If requested and approved, an invitation letter is issued solely to support your travel arrangements. It is not a visa, does not constitute an immigration undertaking, and creates no obligation on any authority. Obtaining travel authorisation remains your responsibility.

At the venue

You agree to follow venue rules, security screening and the reasonable directions of staff and volunteers. The Committee may refuse entry or require a person to leave for conduct that endangers or disrupts the Event. Photography and filming take place at the Event; by attending you consent to reasonable use of crowd imagery for Event communications. To have a specific image of you removed, contact the Committee.

Programme changes

Speakers, sessions, times and venues may change. The Committee may reschedule, relocate or cancel parts of the programme where circumstances require, and is not liable for attendees' travel or accommodation costs.

Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. Otherwise, the Committee is not liable for indirect losses, personal property, or costs arising from changes to the programme or your inability to attend. You attend at your own risk and are responsible for your own travel, health and insurance arrangements.

Data

Your personal data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

General

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply. The Committee may update these Terms; the date above reflects the latest revision.
